I love words. And I will read almost anything, even the small print. But I love fiction most of all, especially if it can drop me into the “narrative dream”. That delicious sensation of leaving reality behind and escaping into someone else’s world, to live in another time or culture, to be surrounded by someone else’s family and friends and face their fictional problems; it’s like time traveling or astral body projection. 

Whether I’m writing memoir or historical fiction, this is the gift I hope to give my readers: an escape into a compelling story, populated by characters real enough to love or hate. Ultimately, I hope you’ll be moved by another human being’s struggles and finish feeling changed, glad you spent time with that person, and me.
